Theme Background
Following on from the success of the Land, Air and Ocean Series, the first two coins of the Animals of the Zoo Series will be released by the Royal Australian Mint in February. These first two coins feature the Asian Elephant and the Western Lowland Gorilla respectively and are part of a six coin series. An added bonus to this series is that this is the first time the Royal Australian Mint has included ‘exotic’ animals on its coins.

These coin designs feature traditional coin sculpture and colour printing.

Presentation features
Consistent with past releases, the product presentation includes educational information on each of these unique animals. The coins are presented in a blister in card format that matches releases in previous series.
