Theme Background:

Her Majesty ascended the throne on 6 February 1952 and was crowned Queen Elizabeth II on 2 June 1953 at the age of 27.

Design:

This stunning 1/4oz gold coin’s reverse features the original Mary Gillick uncrowned effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The inscription QUEEN ELIZABETH II DIAMOND JUBILEE is incorporated into the design. The coin specifications as well as the ‘P’ mintmark are also included in the design.

The coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2012 year-date and the monetary denomination.
