Struck from 2oz of 99.99% pure gold, the Australian legal tender release portrays an athlete on a podium holding the Australian flag aloft, the Australian Olympic Committee logo in colour, and the inscription 2012 AUSTRALIAN OLYMPIC TEAM.
The coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination.
