The Games of the XXX Olympiad will be held in London, England from 27 July to 12 August 2012. London will become the first city to officially host the modern Olympic Games three times, having previously done so in 1908 and 1948.
The stamp-coin set features the 2012 Australia Post The Road to London 60c commemorative stamp, designed by Jonathan Chong. In addition, the set includes an extremely limited stamp-shaped coin, struck from 1/2oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality by The Perth Mint, featuring a coloured photograph of the stamp.
